County Winners In Britain's Favourite Plumber Awards Announced
The Institute of Plumbing has announced the 'County Winners' in the Britain's Favourite Plumber Awards. Just under 50 plumbing professionals have been selected from right across the UK.This is the fourth occasion on which the Awards have been staged, this time with support from pipe system specialists Hepworth Plumbing Products and Wavin Plastics, from boiler manufacturer Worcester Heat Systems and from Yellow Pages. They are designed to recognise the achievements of the very best of professionals and raise awareness of the importance of health and safety in plumbing in the interests of the public. Hundreds of nominations were put forward by consumers from around the country, underlining the esteem in which top professionals are held.
Judging is based on detail provided on special nomination forms and in subsequent one-to-one interviews.

The competition now moves onto the Area round, with six area winners scheduled to be announced in January. The overall holder of the Britain's Favourite Plumber title 2002 will be selected from among the area winners.
County winners in the Britain's Favourite Plumber Awards receive a special certificate. Area winners enjoy a luxury weekend break, whilst the overall national winner will travel on a holiday for two to Berlin to coincide with the World Plumbing Conference, being held in that city in May 2002.
