Plumbers galore!

It seems that good plumbers are like gold dust these days, in which case Chester is about to strike it rich!

From the 2nd – 5th June, Chester will be awash with dedicated plumbing and heating professionals who will be attending the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering’s (IPHE) Annual Conference. The Conference, which is hailed as the industry’s flagship event, usually attracts over 200 delegates and families from all over the UK. This year the venue is the Chester Moat House.

The Lord Mayor of Chester, Councillor Mike Jones, has graciously offered to arrange a civic welcome reception at the Town Hall on the Thursday evening and he will officially open the Conference on Friday morning.

The theme this year is ‘Committed to Competence’ and delegates will hear from an impressive line up of influential speakers. Topics will range from ‘Air Borne Cross Contamination Routes in Drainage Systems’ to the latest changes in Building Regulations.

Kevin Wellman, Operations Director for the Institute, said: “Our members truly are committed to competence. By agreeing to abide to a Code of Professional Standards they demonstrate this on a daily basis. The Annual Conference, which is always over subscribed, also shows the keen desire for Professional Development.”
