The magazine contains a high class of technical content alongside features on the very latest in environmental, educational and technological advances in industry. The emphasis is to set the magazine apart as a resource to be kept for future reference, so that readers can simply and easily build a library of quality technical literature. As the Institute's journal, the magazine contains industry news and views, together with information about the Institute and its activities.
ReadershipP&HE magazine is sent free to all members of the Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering and can be subscribed to by non-members. There are over 12,400 IPHE members with approximately 8,500 working as plumbing and/or heating engineers, either self-employed or working on the tools. The rest of the membership is made up from specifiers, college lecturers, plumbing designers, engineers, consultants and students. There are around 260 Industrial Associate members.

New format for editorial
The magazine holds a host of regular features that allows for a varied read that covers topics important to IPHE members. A sleek new design has freed up extra space and ensures the magazine is easy to read, with colour coded sections to direct the reader to articles of interest:
Public Health - This new section addresses the public health element of plumbing and heating engineering. Subjects such as legionella, asbestos, black dust etc will be discussed in full through a series of articles aimed at industry professionals. Articles concerning the work of Public Health Engineers will also appear in this section.
Environmental - With world resources running out, energy efficiency and alternative energy are the buzz words in the industry. The Environmental section will hold in-depth, generic articles on environmental friendly technologies.
Feature - New and improved with more space for editorial, the feature will change each issue to cover a different topic. See features list below for details.
Technical - Only the very highest quality articles will be seen in this section. Completely generic in nature, each article will build into a library of highly technical, yet easy to read articles that cover many varied aspects of plumbing and heating engineering.
Business - With the majority of IPHE members sole proprietors or running small businesses, business information can be vital to being a success. From debt recovery to keeping records, this section will cover many issues effecting installers.
Products and Services - This section will feature product led articles and showcase the latest new products and services available on the market.
Education and Training - Professional Development is held in high regard by the IPHE, and so the 'Education and Training' section was born. Covering information on training courses, the section also holds the Institute's popular Professional Development pages.
